Acclaimed Chaldean-American Artist Dr. Amer Hanna Fatuhi Announces "For the Light!"
A Historic Touring Art Exhibition Combating Global Antisemitism
METRO DETROIT, MI — Acclaimed Chaldean-American visual artist, historian, and former prisoner of conscience Dr. Amer Hanna Fatuhi has officially announced his highly anticipated international touring exhibition, For the Light!, a powerful artistic campaign standing against antisemitism and anti-Zionism while celebrating Jewish resilience, courage, and hope.
Dr. Fatuhi plans to launch the first exhibition on April 7, 2027, exactly 3.5 years (42 months) after the October 7, 2023 terrorist attacks. The tour will culminate with a final exhibition in Tel Aviv on October 7, 2027, marking the fourth anniversary of the attacks.
The carefully chosen timeline creates a powerful artistic framework between two highly symbolic milestones. Beginning 3.5 years after October 7 and continuing through the fourth anniversary emphasizes that confronting antisemitism and defending human dignity must be an ongoing effort—not merely an annual commemoration.
For
the Light! serves as both a visual shield against rising global antisemitism and a
profound celebration of Jewish history, resilience, and hope.
In an extraordinary act of solidarity, Dr. Fatuhi has announced that 50% of his personal 75% share of proceeds from artwork sales during the tour will be donated directly to organizations assisting victims of the October 7, 2023 attacks, with the donation made in the name of the sponsoring organization or sponsor.
For
the Light! offers an unprecedented cultural and historical perspective. As a
non-Jewish artist who experienced censorship, political imprisonment, and
brutality under Saddam Hussein's regime, Dr. Fatuhi brings to the exhibition a
deeply personal understanding of tyranny, persecution, and the struggle for
freedom.
His work bridges ancient Babylonian "Land of Eden" and Mesopotamian visual history with powerful contemporary artistic and social statements, delivering a universal message: hatred directed against one community is ultimately an assault on all humanity.
"The combination of charitable giving, deep historical symbolism, and a gallery filled with exceptional artwork creates a compelling opportunity for our cultural partners. Sponsors and viewers are not only supporting an urgent humanitarian cause; they are participating in a monumental artistic movement." — Dr. Amer Hanna Fatuhi
To preserve the impact, surprise, and magic of the live gallery experience, Dr. Fatuhi is keeping a selection of his newest and most significant works strictly under wraps until opening night. A curated retrospective of his artistic career—including historical paintings, three-dimensional works, and acclaimed conceptual pieces—can be viewed at his Official Art Portfolio.
The For the Light! tour is currently finalizing its itinerary across major cultural centers, including Michigan, New York, Los Angeles, and Tel Aviv. Select sponsorship opportunities are currently available, including major corporate partnership packages featuring high-value artwork allocations valued at $30,000.
